LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading hotel furnishing supplier in search of a Director of Sales! As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our client’s sales strategy for their range of physical products. You will be responsible for building their sales team from scratch, setting key performance indicators (KPIs), defining hiring goals and driving year-over-year growth. Your success will directly impact the company's bottom line, and your compensation will be tied to achieving predetermined sales targets. This is a hybrid position in Glendale Heights, IL.
 
Director of Sales Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate target markets, including franchisors, dealers/distributors and hotel owners
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders throughout the purchasing decision process
  • Drive sales through both team leadership and personal sales efforts, particularly with key accounts
  • Utilize industry expertise and leadership experience to establish credibility and drive innovation within the organization
  • Optimize sales processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and scalability
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development and operations teams to ensure alignment and support sales initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and market developments to inform strategic decision-making
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences and speaking engagements to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership

Director of Sales Requirements:
  • Proven track record of successfully building and leading sales teams from inception to high performance
  • Extensive experience selling physical products, preferably within industries such as hospitality, senior living or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex purchasing ecosystems with multiple stakeholders involved in the decision-making process
  • Strong sales acumen and the ability to close deals independently, particularly with key accounts
  • Recognized industry expertise, including participation in panels, speaking engagements or thought leadership activities
  • Comfortable working in resource-constrained environments and capable of driving results with limited support
  • Proficient in data analysis and manipulation, with the ability to derive actionable insights from sales data
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed and able to work onsite up to three days per week
  • Product selling is required
