Director of Patient Financial Services

LaSalle Network has partnered with a revenue cycle company seeking a Director of Patient Financial Services. The Director will work side-by-side with a talented team of revenue cycle experts to manage AR, maintain key revenue cycle metrics and offer best practice solutions. This Director will be responsible for driving company initiatives, utilizing analytics to improve existing and future-state processes, and growing a remote workforce to meet and exceed client expectations.

This position is remote but may require intermittent or occasional travel to the client site or corporate headquarters Michigan.

Director of Patient Financial Services Responsibilities:

• Manage back-end metrics such as Discharge Not Final Billed (DNFB)/Candidate for Billing (CFB), AR>90 days, Total Cash, Initial Denials and Operational Write-offs
• Define and drive inventory management processes to accelerate cash and reduce AR
• Classify the root causes of denials and develop an effective management plan to proactively address denial prevention trends
• Build and manage remote teams including offshore
• Conduct internal and external correspondence accurately, clearly, concisely and professionally while following organizational regulations
• Demonstrate effective independent judgment, discretion and decision-making abilities
• Identify client barriers in achieving operational excellence
• Evaluate and analyze client data to understand trends in all areas of the operation
• Collaborate with client revenue cycle team and other departments (Case Management, Revenue Integrity, Patient Access, HIM/Coding and Analytics) to facilitate resolution of process issues and implement world-class solutions
• Provide informed feedback to company and client executives including assessments of processes, trends, standards, suggestions and improvements
• Provide interim staffing services as required

• Bachelor’s degree, master’s a plus
• 5+ years of Epic HB and PB experience, certifications a plus
• 5+ years of RCM leadership or consulting experience in multifacility settings
• Able to travel up to 50%
