Job Description

Our client in the real estate space is looking to bring on a new Director of Human Resources to lead big culture initiatives for the organization. This position is on site 5 days/week in Schaumburg, IL. 


 If you are a self-starter and enjoy leading small HR teams in growing organizations, this is the opportunity for you! This will report directly to the C-suite of the group and have exposure to the President and other leaders in various divisions. This will be a mix of leading strategic initiatives and diving into daily HR functions, given the company (and the team) are small-mid size.  


Director of Human Resources Responsibilities:  

  • Lead all aspects of HR including performance management, compliance, workforce planning, onboarding and talent acquisition 

  • Create culture and employee engagement initiatives 

  • Facilitate performance development and partner with them to identify coaching plans 

  • Build and direct a team of HR professionals 

  • Create learning and development programs for the company surrounding employee retention 

  • Lead Diversity & Inclusion efforts 


Director of Human Resources Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • PHR, SHRM, or advanced degree preferred 

  • 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources 

  • Background with a start-up company or real estate preferred, but not required 

  • Willingness to travel up to up to 30%
