Job Description
Are you a strategic tax leader who is looking for an opportunity to build out their own tax department? Do you have domestic and international experience? Enjoy working remotely week to week? LaSalle Network is partnering with a growing medical manufacturer that is based out of central Michigan that offers the opportunity to work remotely. This Director of Global Tax will lead the company’s tax function on a domestic and international level.

This Director of Global Tax will be working with the outside firm to bring the function inhouse while also supporting M&A activity from a tax perspective. Our client is looking for a technical tax professional and leader and is targeting $200,000 - $230,000 base salary with bonus.

Director of Global Tax Responsibilities:
  • Develop, communicate and enforce global tax policies and procedures
  • Develop and manage the implementation of tax strategies designed to minimize our worldwide tax expense while managing the company’s tax exposure
  • Lead implementation and monitoring of new transfer pricing policies
  • Manage the accounting for income taxes, including development and implementation of key controls
  • Communicate and coordinate with international accounting staff on non-US tax matters
  • Provide well researched authoritative support for all Company tax positions, supported by outside advisors
  • Oversee relationship with external tax advisors, including engagement and fees
  • Manage the compliance activities of external advisors to ensure that income and non-income based tax returns are prepared and filed in a timely and accurate manner

Director of Global Tax Requirements:
  • International tax, transfer pricing and VAT experience
  • Federal and multi-state income, franchise and sales and use tax experience
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and project management skills
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Hands-on leader with strong organization skills and attention to detail
