The ideal candidate blends original creative thinking with data-driven decision-making to drive awareness, engagement, and brand love.
This position will sit in the New York Headquarters and will require this person to be onsite 2-3 days every week, along with some travel for photo shoots, etc.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the brand’s global social media strategy, defining platform roles, voice, creative direction, and long-term roadmap.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly content calendars, balancing proactive storytelling with timely cultural moments.
- Oversee content creation across all platforms—lo-fi, hi-fi, educational, trend-driven, and campaign storytelling.
- Drive community engagement through comments, DMs, stitches, duets, UGC amplification, and real-time conversation building.
- Develop platform-native content ideas, new series, and evolving storytelling formats.
- Write and approve high-quality captions, hooks, CTAs, and scripts that reflect the brand’s warm and playful voice.
- Maintain a roster of creators, editors, and production partners; commission and oversee content production.
- Utilize AI tools for ideation, editing, insights, and workflow optimization.
- Track social performance, lead insights readouts, and implement test-and-learn initiatives to improve reach and engagement.
- Manage social content budgets and build efficient workflows across cross-functional teams.
- Serve as the brand’s cultural and platform expert, staying ahead of beauty trends, consumer behavior, and algorithm shifts.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years leading social media or content strategy for high-growth consumer brands (beauty industry experience highly preferred).
- Demonstrated success scaling social channels and driving high organic engagement.
- Deep expertise in Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Strong creative instincts and a refined aesthetic eye, with a portfolio of social-first work.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with a native understanding of digital tone, hooks, and storytelling.
- Highly attuned to cultural trends, creator ecosystems, and real-time digital behavior.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience managing creators, freelancers, and production partners.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Proficiency with analytics, insights tools, and AI-enabled content workflows.
Compensation: $150k annual salary + bonus eligibility
