Director of Accounting Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, bank account management and cash reconciliation
- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements, highlighting significant findings for the CFO and executive team
- Support acquisition due diligence and post-close integration efforts in collaboration with the CFO and executive team
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and facilitate the external audit process
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations and filing requirements, as well as adherence to company policies
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve individual, team or company objectives
Director of Accounting Requirements:
- Proven experience in financial system integration, cash reconciliation and GAAP accounting
- Proficiency in database and accounting software, with a strong preference for experience using Sage Intacct
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- CPA designation preferred
