Our client is seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join their supply chain team in Schaumburg, IL. This role will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, analyzing sales trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of demand planning experience in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with forecasting tools and ERP systems.

Demand Planner Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and business insights
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Analyze key performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels
  • Identify demand fluctuations and provide recommendations to mitigate supply chain risks
  • Utilize forecasting tools and ERP systems to enhance demand planning processes
  • Work closely with suppliers and distribution teams to ensure product availability and minimize stockouts
  • Continuously improve forecasting models and planning methodologies

Demand Planner Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in forecasting tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in manufacturing, consumer goods, or distribution industries preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred
