Job Description
LaSalle Network is currently partnering with a distribution company to identify a Remote Data Engineer to join their team. The Remote Data Engineer will assist with Data Warehouse Architecture, Data Warehouse Development and ETL Development for Data Warehouses in the Azure Cloud.???
This position reports to the Director of Data Architecture. It can be done 100% remotely, has flexible hours and is an ongoing consulting arrangement. We can support W2, 1099 and C2C for this consultant.
Remote Data Engineer Responsibilities:
- Add new data sources to the Data Warehouse
- Add in new companies to the Integrated Data Warehouse as they are acquired
- Add additional tables and columns to an existing Integrated (Enterprise) Data Warehouse
- Add, revise, troubleshoot ETLs
- Work with Warehouse users (Reporting, Application, Data Analytics) to address their needs
- Work with Data Analyst on Data Mapping, Analysis, View development, Reporting and Data Dictionary
- Data Warehouse Security
Remote Data Engineer Requirements:
- Experience working with SQL Server; ideally Azure SQL Server
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
- SQL Server Integrated Services (within Visual Studio) experience
- Experience with Data Warehouse Architecture using Kimball Warehouse design concepts
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Extract and Load (EL) and Extract, Transfer and Load (ETL) processes
- Data Mapping experience
- Data Warehouse Security experience
- Good communication skills?
