We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a passion for financial management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Controller Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
- Creating and managing budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses and analyzing variances
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and providing recommendations to management
- Monitoring cash flow and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet obligations
- Manage the bank line of credit, borrowing base and relationships with banks
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures (SOP)
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets and forecasts
- Oversee inventory management and purchasing forecasts
- Collaborate with the team to implement a new ERP system
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial management
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
- Experience implementing a new ERP system is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
