LaSalle Network has partnered with an established services contractor in Naperville, IL to identify a new Controller to join their team! This role will report directly to the President of the organization, oversee all accounting functions and be given the runway to grow into an executive position.
This position is budgeted up a base salary of $160,000 with additional bonus eligibility and will be in office 5 days a week in Naperville. CPA is required for this position.
Controller Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee financial statements
- Manage financial reporting processes
- Lead special projects as assigned by senior management
- Oversee HR/Personnel functions
- Supervise general accounting functions
- Manage office payroll and Union payroll processes
- Administer 401K program
- Handle customer billings and insurance matters
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Maintain SAM.gov registration and compliance
- Ensure compliance with Department of Labor regulations
- Manage company licensing requirements
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Interface with customers to resolve issues and maintain relationships
Controller Requirements:
- 5+ years of accounting management experience, including staff supervision
- CPA certification required
- Proven ability to thrive in a multi-task environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with payroll systems, including union payroll
- Familiarity with government contracting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
