Job Description

Our client, an industry leader in the chocolate manufacturing space, is located in Chicago and looking for a Production Planner to join their team! The Production Planner will be responsible for line scheduling, analyzing data and providing conclusions to support both the production and distribution of products.

Production Planner Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the planning and implementation of multiple manufacturing projects
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for the manufacturing lines, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and efficient workflow
  • Coordinate with various departments, including production, procurement and logistics, to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for production
  • Provide expertise in planning methodologies and ensure coordination among internal and external stakeholders for effective plan execution
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and suppliers to enhance collaboration and optimize the supply chain
  • Monitor and oversee the daily operations of the planning system to ensure smooth functioning
  • Configure and maintain calendars and other relevant parameters to achieve optimal project execution
  • Consolidate and communicate key insights and improvements to stakeholders across different departments and management

Production Planner Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing production planning
  • Proficiency in using Excel, PowerPoint and Word for data analysis and presentation purposes
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is essential, with experience in SAP being highly advantageous
