In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team in developing, executing, measuring, and overseeing the university’s content strategy!
This role is a great fit for someone who wants to be in a player-coach role where they will not only oversee a team in delivery and execution, but will be able to be hands-on in concepting and creative execution as well.
The ideal candidate will have worked in marketing and/or communications in an education or university setting and will have led a concept strategy from concept through to execution.
This is a temp to perm opportunity with a hybrid onsite schedule.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a data-driven, multichannel content strategy aligned with brand and marketing objectives.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all content.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to amplify its reputation.
- Lead and mentor a content team, including communications specialists, a writer, a photographer, and a digital specialist.
- Foster a creative, collaborative environment focused on growth and innovation.
- Oversee creation of digital, print, and multimedia content.
- Manage editorial calendar and ensure alignment with key campaigns and milestones.
- Guide storytelling through photography, video, and design.
- Supervise digital communications to drive engagement across social channels.
- Monitor trends and recommend new strategies for platform growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, communications, or a similar field.
- Proven leadership experience & experience managing and mentoring creative teams.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of video production, graphic design, and photography.
- Familiarity with SEO and content optimization strategies.
- Experience in higher education or healthcare marketing highly preferred.
