Job Description
LaSalle Network is currently partnering with a longstanding family-owned construction company located on Chicago’s northside to find a dual Construction Project Manager/Estimator. This individual will be managing projects from pre-construction through completion, performing a wide variety of tasks such as meeting with clients, generating estimates, coordinating sub-contractors and more. This position is 3-4 days onsite each week on the northside of Chicago!

Construction Project Manager/Estimator Responsibilities:
  • Prepare precise bids based on project plans and specifications, conducting thorough cost estimations
  • Efficiently oversee projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress, resolve issues and maintain professional relationships
  • Interpret blueprints accurately, manage quantity takeoffs and supervise self-performed carpentry work for project alignment
  • Negotiate subcontracting deals, manage subcontractors and monitor self-performed carpentry work for quality and timelines
  • Maintain detailed project records and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders regarding project status
  • Proactively identify and solve project challenges, making swift decisions to ensure project progression within constraints

Construction Project Manager/Estimator Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience performing conceptual and detailed estimates
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and coordinating subcontractors
  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from pre-construction to completion
  • Procore or related construction software experience preferred but not required
