LaSalle Network is partnered with a global law firm, who are looking to add a Collections Specialist full-time to their Dallas, Houston, or Austin office! In this role, you'll interact with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to streamline A/R functions and boost collection outcomes. Collections Specialist Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily collections operations by reviewing inventories, addressing A/R challenges, and crafting effective collection strategies in consultation with attorneys
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports—including account reconciliations and variance analyses—while monitoring high-risk accounts and resolving short payment issues promptly
- Lead monthly meetings with Billing Attorneys to review aged balances and provide actionable updates to management, ensuring transparent communication across the board
- Implement best practices in collections, proactively assess the collectability of outstanding amounts, and fine-tune processes to drive better financial outcomes
Collections Specialist Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of collections experience, ideally in professional services (legal, accounting, insurance, or healthcare).
- Familiarity with Aderant and e-billing software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and a quick learner of new technologies.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and negotiation skills. Extensive knowledge of collections, billing, and e-billing systems.
- Strong project management abilities with a knack for multitasking under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality and collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
