Job Description

Our client within the water filtration industry is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collections Analyst to join their team. As a Collections Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payments from clients. If you have a proven track record in collections, excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach, we want to hear from you.

This position is located in the Rosemont, IL area and is currently operating under a hybrid schedule.


Collections Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Contact clients to collect outstanding payments via phone, email and written communication
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms to facilitate timely resolution of outstanding balances
  • Review and analyze client accounts for discrepancies and billing issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies
  • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing client inquiries and concerns related to collections
  • Monitor and report on collection activities, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities and progress to management

Collections Analyst Requirements:
  • Proven experience in collections or a related financial role
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing collections (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) is a plus
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
