Job Description
LaSalle Network is currently partnered with a dynamic and innovative university based in Nashville, TN who is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Solutions Developer. In this direct hire opportunity, you will contribute to reporting, business intelligence and data quality efforts by developing, testing and maintaining BI solutions. You'll work with a dedicated team, focusing on complex SQL queries, ETL development and report authoring.

The role of the BI Solutions Developer will involve contributing to the establishment of a new Datawarehouse. The tasks encompass both practical and technical responsibilities. Additionally, interaction with essential stakeholders and various business units will be necessary. The focal point of the role's BI technology involves utilizing MS SQL Server along with its associated services (such as SSAS, SSIS, SSRS). The technology stack also includes Salesforce, PowerBI and Tableau.

BI Solutions Developer Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to create and manage tables, complex views, scripts, and queries within Oracle and SQL Server environments to support the BI and reporting infrastructure
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of business intelligence solutions, including university data warehousing, metadata management, ETL processes, dashboards, visualizations, reports and multidimensional cubes
  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality reports to meet the data reporting needs of OAIR and the university
  • Innovate new methods of data presentation for internal review, potentially involving dashboard development and other data visualization tools
  • Play a role in university data governance by producing technical documentation, business process documentation, training materials and metadata, such as business definitions and technical specifications
  • Build expertise in business intelligence, reporting, data warehousing and institutional research concepts

BI Solutions Developer Requirements:
  • 2+ years of validated expertise with MS SQL Server and its associated services (including SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
  • Proficiency in Data Warehousing (DWH) with a focus on Star Schema implementation
  • Familiarity with Data Modeling and Visualization using Power BI or Tableau
  • A distinct advantage if the applicant has previously developed Data Models for functions such as Payroll, Finance and/or HR
  • Prior involvement within the realm of higher education, ideally in a Business Intelligence capacity is a plus
  • Technical competence and familiarity with Pyramid, Slate, Banner and/or Argos would be beneficial
