Job Description
LaSalle Network has paired with a leading CPG company in the Chicagoland area in building out their brand management team. They are looking to hire a Brand Manager that will work directly with the company’s VP and Director of Brand, where you will manage and support all aspects of the marketing mix to drive consumer demand for the North America portfolio.

The Brand Manager will act as a strategic partner with Sales, Customer Marketing, Innovation and other cross-functional groups with the goal of growing and transforming the category with chain partners. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and financial acumen, has a passion for food and the ability to create and present inspiring market propositions through story telling.

Brand Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop annual and long-range channel and category business plans, portfolio design and strategy, limited time offer value proposition and playbook development, go-to-market strategies, business performance analysis and P&L management
  • Assess existing business and develop new channel segment expansion opportunities, including business case assessment, profitability targets, and consumer and operator interest for both close-in line extensions and new innovation platforms to relevant channel segments
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build channel research and knowledge agenda, develop innovation strategy, new product commercialization, go-to-market strategies and execution
  • Commercialize chain go-to-market platforms from ideation to launch (pricing, targets, volume commitments, go-to-market propositions, etc.)
  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to execute product launches, product renovations or specification changes, including packaging design, artwork approvals, SKU and materials management and financial feasibility exercises
  • Conduct ongoing business analysis and reporting
  • Prepare management reporting and advise on channel category trends and channel business performance utilizing internal and external data sources (NPD Crest, Technomic, Datassentials, Menu Trends, etc.)

Brand Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in marketing, business administration or related field; MBA preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of brand and/or channel marketing management experience with a background in foodservice, food or QSR preferred
  • Experience in commercialization execution, ideally in B2B environments
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly summarize complex issues, present recommendations and influence an organization
  • Desire to multi-task, work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Must be able to easily maneuver between high level strategic thinking and detail orientation
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities while exhibiting objectivity and openness to others’ views
