LaSalle Network has partnered with a disruptive, venture-backed B2B tech startup in downtown Chicago in hiring a Brand Director!
This organization is building a first-of-its-kind, category-defining technology that will transform how companies mitigate risk. They are scaling rapidly, and are preparing for a major market launch. We are seeking a visionary yet hands-on Brand Director to help define, build, and launch this brand from the ground up.
This is not a traditional marketing environment — it’s fast-moving, founder-led, highly creative, and deeply technical. The ideal Brand Director candidate is energized by ambiguity, thrives in high-intensity environments, and excels at building brands, identities, and product narratives in real time.
Brand Director Responsibilities

Define and build the full brand identity, architecture, and narrative for a disruptive B2B technology product

Develop brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and guidelines from scratch

Partner directly with the CEO and VP of Marketing to shape brand vision, creative direction, and go-to-market storytelling

Lead end-to-end brand and product launches, from concept to execution, across digital, experiential, and integrated channels

Build a cohesive brand experience across web, digital content, product, and marketing assets

Translate complex technical concepts into compelling, accessible brand stories

Drive creative quality, push innovation, and ensure consistency across all touchpoints

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — product, engineering, creative, and leadership — in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Use research, insights, and competitive analysis to support strategic decisions and defend creative direction

Operate with a startup mentality: roll up your sleeves, move quickly, iterate fast, and help build processes as the company scales
Brand Director Requirements

7+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand design, creative direction, or integrated marketing

Proven experience building or redefining brands, ideally in tech, SaaS, or a fast-paced startup environment

Strong portfolio demonstrating brand development, narrative building, and end-to-end launch work

Comfortable working directly with founders and executive leadership

Ability to thrive in an unstructured, high-growth environment with evolving priorities

Strong storytelling, communication, and strategic thinking skills

Ability to balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution

Experience guiding both B2B and B2C brand initiatives is a plus

Salary: $180,000 – $220,000 base. Medical, dental, and vision are offered, along with 2 weeks of PTO.
Please note candidates must be comfortable working long hours, fully onsite, during major build and launch periods in order to be considered for this role.
