This is a freelance role with up to 20 hours of work potential. Local Chicago candidates preferred to assist with on-site video shoots, including setup, camera operation, lighting, and sound as needed. Otherwise, remote.
Bilingual Video Editor Responsibilities:
- Edit primary content, interviews and b-roll footage from video shoots per production outline requirements
- Save, organize and tag raw and final footage in provided storage location
- Insert and place static and motion graphics, as well as other design elements into video content
- Make changes and video edits based on marketing manager and client feedback
- Collaborate with producers, designers, and communications staff to bring video projects from concept to final delivery
- Translate and localize content for Spanish-speaking audiences, including subtitling and voiceover integration
Bilingual Video Editor Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in video editing, preferably in education, nonprofit, government, or media environments
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and related Creative Cloud tools
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with proven experience editing or localizing bilingual video content
- Experience editing for diverse audiences, with a strong understanding of cultural nuance and inclusion
