Our client, a well-established organization in Chicago, is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join their HR team! This is a full-time, in-person role offering stability, career growth, and the opportunity to enhance employee experiences through exceptional benefits administration.

Benefits Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave administration
  • Serve as a trusted resource, answering benefit-related questions and ensuring employees make the most of their options
  • Work with an experienced HR team that values professional development and career progression
  • Help optimize benefits processes, contribute to open enrollment, and support compliance efforts
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and wellness initiatives
  • Assist with new hire benefits onboarding and support open enrollment processes
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, leave policies, and insurance claims
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, federal, and state regulations
  • Work closely with HR and payroll teams to process benefits enrollments and changes
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for audits and benefits tracking

Benefits Specialist Requirements:
  • 2+ years in benefits administration, HR, or a related field
  • Understanding of benefits programs, leave policies, and compliance (COBRA, FMLA, ACA)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and benefits platforms is a plus!
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
