AutoCAD Designer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our client’s curb roofing company. As an AutoCAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating project specifications and concepts into accurate and precise technical drawings. Your expertise will contribute to the success of roofing projects by producing comprehensive plans that guide installation teams and ensure the highest quality standards. AutoCAD Designer Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements, objectives and design specifications
• Create detailed and accurate AutoCAD drawings for curb roofing projects, including layout plans, elevations, sections and construction details
• Incorporate project-specific details, dimensions, materials and technical information into drawings while adhering to company standards and industry best practices
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders, ensuring that all modifications are accurately documented
• Maintain a library of standard drawing templates, blocks and symbols to streamline the design process and ensure consistency
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of design intent and requirements
• Collaborate with the estimating team to provide accurate material take-offs and assist in creating project proposals
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements and design techniques related to curb roofing and construction
• Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, managing multiple design tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a strong ability to create 2D and 3D drawings and layouts
• Previous experience in curb roofing design or related construction disciplines is a plus
• Strong understanding of architectural and construction terminology, concepts and techniques
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for precision to produce accurate and error-free technical drawings
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members, project managers and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Problem-solving skills to address design challenges and create efficient solutions
• Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple design projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
