Job Description

LaSalle Network is currently working with a non-for-profit organization in the Chicagoland area that is seeking an Application Support Specialist to join their team. This individual will manage tickets and support issues for a small portfolio of custom applications. The Application Support Specialist’s main responsibilities include intaking tickets from end users, analysis of tickets, technical troubleshooting, and resolution communications with end users.
 

Application Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Manage and reply to customer tickets via Support Ticketing Software and support Mailbox (emailed tickets)
  • Troubleshoot selected technical tickets, including:
    • Check associated application mailbox for potential email issues
    • Database querying
    • Platform navigation and/or training assistance
  • Identification of initial root cause and routing tickets to appropriate technical team(s)
  • Work within Custom Web Application Admin Console for troubleshooting and/or configuring basic settings
  • Work with users to troubleshoot and/or advise on their email processing

Application Support Specialist Requirements:

  • Support ticket management
  • Technical troubleshooting, preferred skillset:
    • Relational databases, Data querying and/or SQL (Azure experience nice to have)
    • Understanding of basic HTML/CSS webpage code to troubleshoot formatting issues
    • Customer service communication skills
    • Support ticket management
  • Technical troubleshooting, preferred skillset:
    • Object-oriented programming
    • Experience with custom web applications and at least one web application framework
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Azure Experience
    • C# or .NET Experience
  • Experience working with Custom Web Applications
  • Exposure to HTML and basic webpage formatting
  • Customer Service communication skills
