Job Description

If so, this exceptional opportunity with a prominent local developer might be your perfect match! We are seeking a driven and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring financial health and streamlining receivables processes. This position is in Nashville and is in-office on a hybrid basis. 

 

Accounts Receivable Manager Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee a team of 4 billers and collections specialists, providing clear direction, fostering collaboration, and nurturing their professional development 

  • Partner with the Accounting leadership team to identify and implement efficiencies in receivables processes, develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure seamless operation 

  • Define and implement strategies to decrease Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), improve cash flow and optimize receivables financial reporting 

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing, collections and reporting, complying with all accounting standards and internal controls 

  • Cultivate positive relationships with internal departments, external vendors and tenants, ensuring clear communication and prompt issue resolution 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and industry best practices in real estate receivables management 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Accounts Receivable Manager Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable management, preferably within the real estate industry 

  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for identifying and implementing process optimizations 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred 

  • Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
