Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a dynamic organization that supplies replacement parts and maintenance products for construction and mining equipment around the globe. They are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounting Manager that is seeking an opportunity to grow within a great organization.

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
  • Receive and distribute incoming accounts payable invoices and related documents for approval
  • Ensure fiscal files and records to document transactions are appropriately archived and maintained and that outstanding invoices are meticulously recorded
  • Maintain 1099 vendor files for accuracy and up to date W9’s for tax reporting
  • Effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in an accurate and timely manner
  • Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
  • Managing accounts payable ensuring a clean, up-to-date accounting
  • Review and verify Vendor Statements as needed
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Investigate accounts payable issues as needed
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Build relationships with vendors and colleagues
  • Assist/perform the day-to-day accounts payable duties when needed
  • Supervise reconciliation of multiple credit card accounts
  • Track expenses and process expense reports
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of budgeting, forecasting reports, fixed asset reports and month end closing
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors and provide assistance to perform annual audit
  • Prepare Sales tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork and reports
  • Ensure payroll tax returns accuracy and payments in accordance and assist with audits

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical, computation and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership abilities
  • Capable of meeting deadlines
  • Be PROACTIVE and have a teamwork mindset
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures and general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Capable of taking on responsibility and accountability, always following parent company’s general procedures and guidelines
  • 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Excellent computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages (experience with SAP is a plus)
  • Cost optimization mindset
  • Spanish speaking is a plus

Salary is budgeted for $45,000-$60,000 depending on requirements met by the candidate.
