LaSalle Network is hiring for an Accounts Payable Lead to support a fast-growing Consumer Packaged Goods organization in Downtown Chicago. This hybrid, open-ended contract opportunity is ideal for an Accounts Payable Lead who enjoys stepping away from transactional processing and into a strategic, high-impact role. You’ll serve as the connective tissue between internal teams and an offshore AP partner while ensuring accuracy, compliance and process excellence.
As the Accounts Payable Lead, you’ll bring deep knowledge of the full AP lifecycle, strong SAP expertise and a solutions-first mindset. This role reports to the Director of Shared Services and plays a key role in keeping the procure-to-pay engine running smoothly.
What’s the job?
- Serve as the primary escalation point for the offshore Accounts Payable team
- Resolve complex PO and Non-PO invoice issues and ensure SLA adherence
- Oversee Travel & Expense (T&E) processes and policy compliance
- Lead vendor banking verification and fraud-prevention efforts
- Partner with Procurement and Finance to optimize procure-to-pay workflows
- Act as liaison between vendors, internal stakeholders and offshore partners
- Support month-end close and internal/external audit requests
What’s needed?
- 4+ years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Lead or senior AP SME
- SAP proficiency required
- Strong understanding of PO and Non-PO invoice workflows
- Experience working with offshore or BPO teams preferred
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, especially with vendor data and controls
