Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Match purchase orders with invoices and check for discrepancies
- Enter invoice details into the accounting system
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payments, including checks and electronic transfers
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders regarding payment inquiries
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
