Job Description
Are you an experienced Accounting Manager with a passion for making a positive impact on society? Have you proven success through being detail-oriented and possessing a highly professional demeanor? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client, a non-profit organization as an Accounting Manager.

LaSalle Network has partnered with a well-established non-profit organization local to Chicago. Their organization works tirelessly to bring high quality education to grade levels K-12 for students across the Chicagoland area. They are committed to creating a better future and are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to help us secure the funding needed to make a lasting difference.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
  • Identify and research potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and goals
  • Prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, ensuring accuracy, compliance and adherence to all deadlines
  • Manage the grant application process, including gathering necessary documentation and collaborating with various teams within the organization to collect required information
  • Develop and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations, foundations and other potential funding sources
  • Monitor and track grant deliverables, report requirements and ensure compliance with grant agreements
  • Collaborate with program managers and finance team to ensure proper budgeting and financial reporting related to grants
  • Maintain accurate records of all grants, applications, reports and related documentation
  • Stay informed about grant trends, best practices and changes in regulations, ensuring the organization remains up-to-date and competitive in the grant landscape
  • Assist in the evaluation and assessment of grant-funded projects to measure impact and success

Accounting Manager Requirements:
  • Extensive grant management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously
  • Highly professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of grant research and identification techniques, as well as experience in developing and submitting successful grant proposals
  • Familiarity with grant compliance and reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically
  • Proficiency in using grant management software and tools
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., non-profit management, business administration, communications, etc.) is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered
