Accountant

LaSalle Network is hiring for an Accountant to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking real estate firm headquartered in Chicago’s West Loop. This role supports a tight-knit accounting department and is responsible for managing financial workflows across a national property portfolio. Immediate availability is preferred.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage and review accounts payable entries alongside the A/P data entry team

• Process payments, track timelines, and serve as the go-to for vendor inquiries

• Prepare general ledger entries, analyze monthly fluctuations, and conduct quality control reviews

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and forecast cash flow for multiple portfolios

• Prepare and reconcile intercompany invoices and transactions

• Generate and report monthly financial statements

• Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, security, and efficiency

Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.5 or higher

• 1-3 years of experience in real estate accounting or finance

• Strong Excel and Word skills; familiarity with Yardi Voyager or AppFolio is a plus

• Able to manage high-volume workloads and pivot quickly in a fast-moving environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
