LaSalle Network is partnering with a global multi-asset fintech group hiring for their next Accountant. They operate on proprietary tech-based trading platform and offer CFD’s, share dealings, futures and options. This will be a blended project-based position where you will help with process and systems implementation as well as assist with the streamlining of various procedures.This position is located in the western suburbs of Chicago and is offering a very competitive compensation structure of up to an $80,0000 base and discretionary bonus along with an amazing benefits package!
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounting entries
- Perform month-end close functions including the preparation of various journal entries and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
- Responsible for Accounts Payable by tracking and recording vendor invoices and initiating payment process
- Lead the development of a Treasury Management system including building out a confidence interval rating to ensure the money they’re sending is going to the right places
- Assist with the implementation of NetSuite
- Assist with various ad hoc process improvement/implementation initiatives
Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience ideally withing the financial services sector
- Strong Excel experience (macro’s, VBA’s, working with large data sets)
- Experience leading process improvement/implementation initiatives
