The Senior HR Generalist will take the lead in managing employee relations, developing HR processes, and partnering with leadership to foster a culture of trust and collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first setting and enjoys taking ownership of initiatives that directly impact an organization’s workforce.
What’s the job?
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and investigations for a union workforce (80% covered by a collective bargaining agreement)
- Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and unpaid leave
- Partner closely with hiring managers to oversee full-cycle recruitment across departments
- Leverage HRIS and ATS for HR operations and reporting
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and improve HR policies and procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization
What’s needed?
- 5+ years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience
- Union experience is required
- Strong background in employee relations and leave administration
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in an environment without established SOPs
