Find A Job
Passionate and happy employees are essential to the life of a business. Not only do employees who feel valued create an enjoyable work environment, but passionate and happy employees directly contribute to the company’s productivity and increasing profits.
But what are the most effective approaches for employee engagement? Paul Spiegelman, the CEO of Beryl Companies, lists his approaches on INC.com:
- Be transparent
- Share the company’s successes
- Invest in your employees futures
- Prioritize fun
- Focus on the single thing employees care about most: Family
As a CEO, it’s important to treat your employees like stakeholders, says Gimbel and Spiegelman. At LaSalle, we have a full-time Director of Training and Development in order to continually develop employees. We also have week-long training sessions for new hires. Gimbel believes the key to happy employees and company success is to involve employees in important organization decisions. To do this, LaSalle has staff councils called the Executive Management Team and Executive Leadership Team. These groups provide input and discuss current happenings within the company.
