A leading U.S. distributor of specialty food products was in need of six supply chain professionals within a 30 day time period. These opportunities were available due to an acquisition of an out-of-state organization a month prior, during which very few members of the supply chain department chose to relocate.
Identify – Supply chain and demand planning professionals at varying levels (junior, staff and senior) within a strict budget and time constraint
Qualify – Passive candidates from Chicagoland competitors, with E3 software by JDA Software Group experience to interview and start prior to software training in one month
Deliver – Candidates to be interviewed and started within one month under a strict budget

LaSalle Network developed a specific sourcing and recruitment strategy for this food distribution client, to identity top talent in the area of supply chain demand planning.
The recruitment strategy consisted of the following:
- Consulting Services – To remedy our client’s need and budget dilemma, LaSalle provided consulting services on recruitment strategies, such as job fairs, social media and recruitment marketing to allow our client to hire several employees.
- Direct Sourcing from Competitors – LaSalle Network’s experienced recruiters utilized their knowledge of the client to recruit supply chain demand planning professionals with the necessary experience from competitors.
Results
Because of LaSalle’s guidance, our client was able to stay within their budget, with a cost savings of over $75,000 in fees. To fill the six positions, LaSalle recruited passive candidates from our client’s competitors who had experience in the required software, E3. Within one month’s time, all the openings were filled, with an on-time start class of experienced supply chain professionals at all levels.
